If everything seems under control, you’re not going fast enough, right? So…since it is Fast Friday I will get to it quickly: Race Weekend will feature shower/storm chances, humid air, and highs in the low 80s.
And since it is Fast Friday…how fast could rain arrive today? By mid morning around Bloomington, and by late morning around Indy. The rain would be aided by a dippity-do in the upper flow right over us by tonight.
That dip, and the area of low pressure at the surface should be far enough east of us by sunrise Saturday to stop the showers…except maybe around Richmond down to Greensburg, where something could linger into mid-morning.
Clouds may linger elsewhere for awhile Saturday morning, which is probably a plus if – like me – your race this weekend is the Geist Half. The minus for that race, and for the Indy racers Saturday, will be the wind that could gust up to around 25 mph.
I wish it would look like that Race Weekend, but the active weather pattern you see to the west will get here starting Wednesday. Warm, and wet at times!
