My forecast went from about two words yesterday to about a dozen today. Welcome back to a more active pattern, although temps will remain near or above average with the exception of Friday’s brief shot of cooler air.
First shower chances in over a week are also back today. Short-term computer guidance has them popping around 5pm or 6pm and dissipating after sunset. (Via weatherbell.com.)
The chance is focused around a cold front that will drop southward into the state and then stall out tonight and tomorrow.
The chance will be biggest Wednesday afternoon through Wednesday night. The morning should be ok. Thursday brings scattered showers and storms. Nothing severe is expected. Lingering showers are possible Friday morning, then we should be done for the weekend. Nice timing. Totals through Friday should be around half an inch.
Yesterday’s highs were pretty uniform. And pretty summer-like. It was 82 in Lafayette. It was 83 in Indy, Muncie, and Terre Haute. The high was 84 in Bloomington.
PAUL’S PREVIOUS PREDICTION
