Oh look! Some clouds!
OK, you gotta go to the Ohio River to get them, but they are there. Those are associated with a cutoff circulation in the upper atmosphere which isn’t really going anywhere today. So if you live in central Indiana and *you’re* not going anywhere today…enjoy the sun show. As that upper low moves east tomorrow it might throw a few high clouds into our mix. At the surface, don’t Blame Canada today. Thank them for the ridge of high pressure we are getting, Straight Outta Quebec.
The jet stream is doing a deep dive into the West this weekend. That will strengthen the ridge of high pressure aloft around here and lead to the warmest weather in three weeks.
What about the folks UNDER that dug-in system out West? You don’t wanna go there. Denver will be in the mid 70s today, could face severe thunderstorms tomorrow, and could get a foot of snow this weekend.
