The biggest threat comes in two waves today. The first could be the most dangerous, with the highest risk for super-cell storms that could produce damaging straight-line wind, and even tornadoes, especially south of Indy. Here (via weatherbell.com) is radar modeling at 2pm.
By this evening the threat will probably evolve into a squall line. Damaging wind will remain the primary threat, with a lingering potential for brief, embedded tornadoes to “spin-up.” (Here’s a 6pm radar simulation.)
