The Freezing Fog Advisory now goes ’til Noon. Every major weather station across the state reports a visibility of under a mile as of 10am. People always ask what IS Freezing Fog? There’s no precipitation happening, per se…but the fog can make things wet. In the case of freezing fog, the fog cloud droplets are supercooled. When a droplet contacts an object below freezing it will turn to ice. Untreated surfaces could be slippery. We should see erosion around the edges again today, a little earlier than yesterday in some places. That’s the reason for the spread in the high temperature forecasts. PAUL’S PREVIOUS PREDICTION Yesterday’s high was 37. My forecast was 39. INDY SEVEN DAY FORECAST Today: Dense morning fog. Some afternoon sun possible. High 41. Tonight: Foggy again. Low 30.
