Toasty for late October across much of central Indiana today…#INwx pic.twitter.com/U4RtqVVknj
— NWS Indianapolis (@NWSIndianapolis) October 22, 2015
Pretty good spread on temps Thursday. The high in Muncie was 72, with 73 in Lafayette. Terre Haute and Indy both got to 82, with Bloomington making it to 83.
It won’t get really colder until Saturday night, and that change will be prompted by a cold front bringing rain chances after sunset tonight. The rain is likely overnight into Saturday morning, and should diminish in the afternoon, and be gone by sunset Saturday night. Not much out of this rain…a half-inch or less is likely.
HOWEVER…next week could bring a big game-changer for our current dry spell. The remnants of Hurricane Patricia could get caught up into our flow Tuesday and Wednesday of next. A couple of inches of rain is on the table.
We need it.
