Today is the seventh consecutive day in Indy with below average temperatures. That’s not likely to change until next week.
We got close yesterday, thanks to substantial sunshine. That’s not happening today, with showers likely, mainly in the morning and midday. A chance will remain – from Indy southward – tonight, with rumbles of thunder also possible. If you’re north of Indy it might be pretty quiet by late afternoon and evening.
MAPS ‘N CHARTS:
Here’s the low pressure and stagnant frontal boundary to the south of us today.
Eventually that will get squeezed to the south by an area of high pressure expanding out of Canada. The best chances of showers tonight and Friday will be from around Indy southward.
By Friday evening and Saturday the rain gets pushed south of Indiana. Saturday will be the best day of the weekend.
Moisture’s on the move again late Saturday night into Sunday. Expect a mostly cloudy sky and scattered showers may be around.
The biggest round of rain arrives Monday night into Tuesday, and should fade Tuesday afternoon. Over an inch of rain may fall.
So here’s the next 7 days worth of water.
