The first 90 degree day of Summer in Indy? I’ve got this feeling today is the day. If the fog doesn’t get in the way. Yesterday’s foggy/cloudy start limited the official Indy temp to 86, although it hit 88 at the Eagle Creek Airport. The fog isn’t thick Monday morning, and the ground is a little less moist. The upper level ridge has shifted to a point where those recent traveling rain and storm complexes aren’t a threat today. Bottom line: today’s probably our best shot. The slight storm threat returns by Tuesday afternoon, and stays all week. (BTW, the humidity stays, too.)
In a normal summer I wouldn’t be this focused on a 90 degree day in August. However….we haven’t had one yet. We have an average of 14.6 of ’em. And we can have a lot more.
