Clouds and sunshine fight it out today, with the clouds winning tonight, and rain following Tuesday and Wednesday.
Clouds will be thickest to the south today, and drizzle or a light shower may be possible from around Bloomington to Richmond and southward. Highs everywhere should finish in the upper 70s to around 80. It’s one of those days where Lafayette will likely be warmer than Columbus.
This week’s big weather player will lumber out of Kansas Monday, not crossing Indiana until sometime Wednesday morning. The rain chance will begin after midnight tonight, and not decrease until Thursday. Severe weather looks unlikely, but another 1.5 to 2.5 inches of rain could fall, which we really don’t need in the short term. The last week has brought 1-4 inches of rain to central Indiana.
The biggest rains yesterday fell north and east of Indy, which only logged only .07″ of an inch. Muncie received 1.44″ inches, there was 1.15″ in Lafayette, and .31″ fell near Richmond.
We will get a break Friday and Saturday, and there may be another system in by Sunday of next weekend.
