A dreary Friday gives way to more sunshine and a return to the 60s this weekend. Today’s gloom and doom is still being steered by persistent upper level low pressure in Canada that’s dug a trough of unsettled weather down to the Great Lakes and Midwest. The high was 54 in Lafayette, 53 in Muncie, 52 in Richmond, and only 51 in Indy.
There will still be some sprinkles or even light showers overnight. Clouds will hang tough early as you head to the start/finish line. The streets could be damp, but the race will be run under a partly cloudy sky and with no big weather problems. The morning breeze will be from the southwest at 10-15 mph. Temps will warm into the upper 50s.
8am: 49
9am: 52
10am: 56
11am: 59
Shower and storm chances are in the Sunday forecast, and the big story next week will be our first 80 degree temps of the year.
