Central Indiana enjoys its second consecutive spectacular Saturday, with highs above average, and a blue sky above it all.
Winds will blow from 5-15 mph today and closer to 5 mph tomorrow. They will shift from the northeast to east Saturday afternoon, and shift around to the south tomorrow. That shift will help drive up temps even higher for Easter, with highs into the mid 70s. The holiday will be mostly clear, with sunrise temps in the mid 40s.
One more mild day Monday, before a front arrives with shower chances Monday afternoon and evening. There may be some rumbles of thunder, but a quiet Spring severe weather season shows no sign of suddenly waking up here, although I will keep an eye on rough weather expected in the Plains Wednesday.
That system should bring another shot of showers and storms to Indiana Thursday night into Friday. The very early word on *next* weekend is dry, but cooler than average.
Speaking of cooler than average: that’s also going to be the case Wednesday. I orginally thought we could have our longest above-average streak of the year into next week, but I should have known better. The longest stretch so far has been has been 5 days…several times. Yesterday through Tuesday equals….5 days. This could be *that* kind of year.
