Do you mind if I shout? IT SHOULD GET TO 70 TODAY.
Thanks, had to get that out of my system. We are finally finished with six days in a row of below normal temperatures. It’s the warmest day of the year. Heck, it’s the warmest day since October 13 in Indy. It will already be in the 60s by the time your are having lunch. (Outside?) Afternoon highs should be right around 70 throughout central Indiana, and into the low 70s in Terre Haute, with the mid 70s possible in Bloomington and Columbus.
It’s not perfect: winds will gust to 35 mph, and an approaching cold front means a chance of showers and storms this afternoon. Rain and some storms are likely this evening and overnight and the front sags slowly southward. Shower chances could still be around just before sunrise from Indy southward at sunrise Friday. The Friday sky should go partly cloudy by afternoon.
Saturday? Still stunning. A mix of clouds and sun, and above normal temps. If you’re running the Carmel Marathon, expect south winds of 10-15 mph.
A big storm system approaches Sunday afternoon with shower and storms chances and one final day into the 70s. A cooler rainy day starts the next work week, with showers possibly mixing with a few flakes as the system exits Monday night.
There will be a couple days below normal next week, but we’ll swing back to above average numbers Thursday. Nothing worth SHOUTING about, but there’s always hope in Indiana weather.
