Just scattered showers are expected today, with smaller rainfall totals. Highs won’t vary much across the state, with top temps in the mid 50s. Terre Haute, Bloomington and Columbus could reach the upper 50s. That’s the fifth consecutive day of below normal numbers.
Those numbers will be close to average tomorrow and will then go above normal Thursday through Sunday, with the longest/warmest stretch of days we’ve had this year.
Expect big breezes delivering the warmth Thursday. A cold front could still bring showers late Thursday night and Friday morning, but the amounts look small, and it’s only a one-day dip in temps.
Highs both days of the weekend? Around 70! Plan your outdoor stuff Saturday, just in case. A front is close enough to spark shower/storm chances by Sunday afternoon. Showers and storms are likely Sunday evening, and rain is likely Monday, as the front slows and stalls in the area. Much colder air arrives by Monday evening, and some snow could easily mix with the rain Monday night and Tuesday, as this Spring flings another (small) snowball at you.
