March 20, 1948 – The city of Juneau received 31 inches of snow in 24 hours, a record for the Alaska capitol.
March 20, 1996 – Over a foot of snow fell on March 19 and 20 across west central, southwest, and south central Indiana. Winds to 35 mph coupled with the weight of the snow toppled thousands of trees in Hoosier National Forest and knocked out power to 200,000 residents.
