Yesterday. All my weather troubles seemed so far away. Now it looks as though Winter’s here to stay. At least – for a day.
Today’s the coldest day in the seven day forecast. Chills will be in the teens, and clouds will be the big story. Along with the big wind, gusting to 30 mph. A light wintry mix is possible south of Indy, but you’d need to be south of Bloomington to Columbus to notice any (light) accumulation.
As expected, there was a wide range in high temps Saturday.
66 Evansville
61 Bloomington
58 Terre Haute, Shelbyville
55 Indianapolis
49 Lafayette, Muncie
40 South Bend
Going green Downtown for the Parade tomorrow? Prepare for chills in the 20s, at least for the first half of the festivities. This weather reporter will be marching along with the WZPL radio float. It should be mostly sunny, so you’ll have good visibility for throwing those tomatoes at me.
The only unsettled this week is centered around low pressure and a cold front Wednesday. Showers could start Tuesday night. Ahead of that front: above average highs Tuesday. Behind it: not bad…just normal Wednesday and Thursday. Back above average Friday, and then around average Saturday. We’ve done worse!
INDY ALMANAC:
The average high today is 52 and the average low is 33. Records are 79 and 3. The sun rises at 7:55 and sets at 7:53.
PAUL’S PREVIOUS PREDICTION:
Yesterday’s high was 55. My forecast was 54.
