An upper air disturbance dusted some of central Indiana last night and early this morning. It’s a small reminder of our big winter that is not finished yet.
Indianapolis just recorded a trace of snow, but there were reports of around an
inch north of Indy. There is still a chance of a few rain and snow showers south of Indy through the morning. Clouds will be thick today, perhaps breaking a bit in the afternoon, especially in Lafayette and Muncie. A mostly clear and cold night is ahead.
Yesterday’s nice weather in central Indiana featured Indy’s second-warmest temp of the year. But it may have been THE best day of the year for three reasons:
1. It came on a weekend.
2. It wasn’t too windy.
3. It was dry.
And (in some places) it was MILD. Here are Saturday’s highs:
63 Evansville
59 Bloomington
57 Shelbyville
55 Indianapolis
55 Terre Haute
51 Richmond
51 Eagle Creek
45 Muncie
42 Lafayette
36 South Bend
Now: back to Winter, already in progress. Temps will be below average all week. On the bright side: still no big snows to sweat.
