10:30 UPDATE
Part of #Indiana from Bloomington-Columbus southward that wasn’t already under a Winter Weather Advisory is now under Wind Advisory until 7a. Gusts to 50 mph statewide tonight! Up to an inch of snow from squalls mainly north of #Indy.
Expect another burst of snow to quickly move through Indiana tonight, from around 9pm to 1am. Around an inch is expected. Less than an inch is likely to fall south of I-70. Winds will gust to 45 mph, so blowing snow could be a factor during the snow squalls. Check My Huge Radar here.
The Indianapolis high made it to 40 today – for only the second time the second half of this long, long month of January. The high was 47 in Bloomington! It was 39 in Lafayette and Muncie. Richmond reached 37. At the ends of the state: 29 in South Bend and 55 in Evansville.
That’s all about to go down the temperature drain. Temps in central Indiana should fall below freezing around midnight and down to about zero by morning drive-time tomorrow. Chills will be around -20 all day tomorrow. Wind Chill Warnings are in place from Noon Monday to Noon Wednesday. Places like Terre Haute and Bloomington are under Wind Chill Advisories.
