Up to a foot of snow is expected to fall in a single band off Lake Michigan late Monday night into Tuesday. Snowfall rates of 1-3 inches an hour a possible within the heavy bands. Laporte and Porter counties face the biggest risk.
Arctic air is moving into the region tonight and chills will be well below zero through the day Tuesday.
