More melting for Monday! Temps stayed above freezing last night into this morning. That also happened Friday night into Saturday morning, and it was the first time it had happened since December 21. Today should be the warmest day in Central Indiana since December 28. Highs will move into the upper 40s, with some low 50s in Bloomington and Columbus.
Both Bloomington and Columbus have rain chances today, as well as Muncie and Richmond. Any place east or south of Indy could be a candidate. Small amounts are expected as a cold front moving through the state combines with low pressure to the south.
Tomorrow a clipper zips though the Great Lakes states. Expect a rain and snow chance by afternoon, and much colder air with snow showers Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. And after we just found your front lawn again! Around an inch looks likely from near Lafayette to Muncie, with less than that to the south, and little or anything by the time you hit the southern third of the state.
This time, the shot of cold air isn’t as deep or as long-lasting. Back to average Thursday, but another shot of snow showers (maybe an inch again?) and colder air Friday. Single digits are looking likely Friday night, but no big snows appear likely for at least another 7-10 days.
