A band of accumulating snow hit the streets just before morning commuters, causing commotion for Monday morning travel. SNOW TOTALS 0.8 Greenwood 0.9 NWS-Indianapolis 1.3 Carmel 1.3 Greenfield 1.8 Westfield 2.0 Brownsburg 2.5 Thorntown Another wave could bring another burst of snow showers this evening. This one would mainly be a factor north of Indianapolis. After that? Quiet weather Tuesday and Wednesday. Today will be colder than average. Again. It’s the 11th consecutive day of below average numbers in central Indiana. Highs will be in the mid 20s in Lafayette, Kokomo and Muncie. Expect upper 20s in Indy and Richmond. It will hit the low 30s in Terre Haute, Bloomington, and Columbus. Milder air wil *finally* arrive later Wednesday, setting the stage for the upper 40s and low 50s Thursday and Friday. Rain chances start Thursday night and look likely Friday. The weekend looks a little fuzzy for the moment, with a strong trend toward mainly mild and rainy weather, although it may be cold enough still for some snow, especially north. I don’t see any storms Monday through Christmas, so this weekend will determine how white we get!
