Most of central Indiana starts in the 40s again today, but a recent mini-warming trend continues. We’ll add another 2-4 degrees onto high temperatures this afternoon compared to Monday. High clouds will thicken this afternoon, approaching from the west and southwest. Blame an area of low pressure that drifts from west Missouri in the morning to the Gateway Arch tonight. As that low moves east from St. Louis along the Ohio River it brings rain chances to Indy southward tonight. Not much is expected. (Not much is needed, after last week.) I don’t expect anything in Lafayette or Kokomo or Muncie. There will be slight chances in Indy and Richmond, with better chances in Bloomington. That weather maker moves off to the southeast by Wednesday afternoon. The next rain chance holds off until Sunday, when a cold front will stop the warming. Temps will be above average from Wednesday through Saturday. INDY ALMANAC: The average high today is 74 and the average low is 53. Records are 92 and 34. The sunrise time is 7:35 and the sun sets at 7:39. PAUL’S PREVIOUS PREDICTION: Yesterday’s high was 72. My forecast was 72. DETAILED INDIANAPOLIS FORECAST: Today: Mostly sunny morning.
