It seems inadequate to say we’re having a pretty nice weekend. Reggie Miller was a pretty good basketball player. The Beatles were a pretty successful band. The blue sky and low humidity level are back again today. A big spread between low and high temperatures is an indication of a dry air mass. And we had some big swings yesterday. The Muncie low was 50 and the high was 84. In Lafayette the temp traveled from 57 to 85. We start in the mid 50s today, at least outside of Indy, where this morning’s low was 64. Sadly, the humidity returns tomorrow and stays all week. There were 8 days of 90+ weather last August. We haven’t had any so far this month, but we could finish this month with six consecutive such days. A big upper ridge will settle over the state. It might get some push back Wednesday from a cold front, so I’ll put a slight storm chance in just to break up the monotony. There might not be a cool change in the pattern until the middle of next week. INDY ALMANAC: The average high today is 84 and the average low is 64. Records are 96 and 49. The sunrise time is 7:07 and the sun sets at 8:27. PAUL’S PREVIOUS PREDICTION: Yesterday’s high was 87. My forecast was 85. DETAILED INDIANAPOLIS FORECAST: Sunday: Mostly sunny. High 88.
