Now that clocks are set forward… it’s time for a temperature setback. A cold front has moved through the area, and we will see the numbers gradually fall to the mid to low 40s by the afternoon rush hours. I thought we’d get more rain. Early Monday morning precipitation totals were all under a tenth of an inch. The best chance of anything big is now confined to the east of Indianapolis: from around Muncie down through Richmond. Drizzle or sprinkles may be around on your trip home. A few flurries will fly tomorrow. The work week will be fairly quiet, with temperatures just a little below average. Did you enjoy the warmest day in over three months? The high temp hit 67 on Sunday in Indy, Bloomington, and Evansville. Lafayette and Muncie were right behind at 66. It was the warmest high temp in Indy since December 3rd. Becky Kincaid on Facebook asked “What can you tell us about the comet?” I can tell you that Comet Pan-STARRS” is now visible in the Northern Hemisphere after months of being visible in the Southern Hemisphere. NASA experts say it will appear in the west at sunset, from around the March 8th to the 13th, and will be visible to the naked eye up to the end of the month. On March 12 and 13, the comet will appear close to the moon, possibly even silhouetting it. The comet was discovered in June 2011. INDY ALMANAC: The average high today is 50 and the average low is 31. Records are 77 and 3. Sunrise time is 8:03 and the sun sets at 7:48. PAUL’S PREVIOUS PREDICTION: Yesterday’s high was 67.
