The Winter Weather Advisory will continue until 10am, as the Indy metro area gets drizzled with ice for the Friday morning trip. Schools and flights are delayed as we wait on a warm-up that should get us to freezing by the end of morning drive. The Advisory goes until Noon in Richmond. The event began with a burst of sleet and snow that accumulated up to an inch in many places. The Indy Airport reported .5 inches, and Lafayette got 1.1 inches. There was an inch in Frankfort and Terre Haute, and a dusting of snow/sleet in Anderson/Muncie. Freezing rain and drizzle have been the biggest problem since the overnight and will be through the morning. Clouds may crack a little this afternoon, only to fill back in tonight and tomorrow. The chance of flurries is still in the Saturday forecast, but one day of Sun sounds good on Sunday. Rain chances return Monday afternoon. Most of next week promises below normal temperatures. No compliments for the Chef! INDY ALMANAC: The average high today is 43 and the average low is 26. Records are 70 and -9. Sunrise time is 7:28, and the sun sets at 6:30.
