Yesterday’s beautiful blue sky gave me a chance to examine the visible satellite shot and see the snow pack from above, which now covers a little less of southern Indiana. That snow will go this week. Thank (or blame, depending on your taste) the thermometer. Our thermometers will stand taller, but not as tall as The World’s Tallest. A 134-foot tall thermometer built to attract motorists headed to and from Las Vegas has become an eyesore and some folks in California desert town of Baker want to scrap it. It was built in 1991, but stopped working about three years ago and a gift shop is now empty. I don’t know who the World’s Tallest Weatherman is, but I suppose Kevin Gregory is leading locally. About 6-3 or 6-4, if I recall correctly. INDY ALMANAC: The average high today is 35 and the average low is 21. Records are 63 and -13. Sunrise time is 8:06 and the sun sets at 5:38.
