Above is a map of national watches and warnings and advisories as of 6:30am, and it’s lit up like…well, a Christmas tree. A tornado watch is in place along the Gulf Coast. There are public reports of significant damage and people rescued from debris after a possible tornado struck Mobile Alabama early this morning.
The other map shows central and southern Indiana. A Winter Storm Advisory is in place for high winds from 1pm Thursday – 10am Friday for the area of central Indiana you see indicated on the map. Those places could see up to two inches of accumulation by Friday morning, along with single digit wind chills.
In southern Indiana the Advisory is strictly for wind, with snow expected to accumulate an inch or less.
