By Saturday afternoon this weatherman felt the way about half of the political pundits in the country will feel on Wednesday. I would say that forecast was out of the “margin of error.”
The temperatures never warmed as expected, some of the rain (which was in the forecast at least by Saturday morning) fell as sleet. Indianapolis officially received .08″ of unpleasant precipitation.
Twitter followers who were at the IU game Saturday reported rain and hail. Think how much nicer the weather will be at the Rose Bowl! (Just wanted to see if everyone’s paying attention here.)
If you ran the 5k, or even the Half-Marathon at the Monumental you probably escaped the worst of the weather, but if you ran the full meal deal at the pace I’VE run them before….you got pelted with some sleet at some point. I heard about THAT on Twitter also:)
Today’s an easier forecast, and a better one. Bright, frosty start, then a mix of clouds and sun, and still below average temperatures. But no rain, or sleet, or hail. (I assume the Mail was still delivered yesterday?)
Maybe the Colts should get the credit. The weather’s been generally quiet for the Tailgating Nation so far this season.

Still looks like a Nasty Nor’Easter next week. Not a hurricane, but not good news. Winds could be high, and rain and snow appear likely. That will come to the East Coast the day after Election Day.
I think we’ll be dry at the Polls, and then face a chance of showers Tuesday night.
