This morning is the coldest in Indianapolis since June 2nd with an official low of 50. Friday’s maximum of 70 in Indy was the “lowest high” since the first of June.
Chew on this: from June 28 through July 20 it never got any COOLER than yesterday’s high, even in the middle of the night. High temps will be close to normal Sunday and Monday, but it’s a cooler than average trend overall. Thanks for the payback, Ma Nature!
How perfect is this for a big football Saturday? High pressure’s moving through the Big 10, starting in Illinois during the morning, and finally ending up in Ohio late tonight.
A stalled frontal system just south of Tennessee will add a few more clouds to the count for the IU/BSU game, but it will be dry and pleasantly cool. The morning low in Bloomington was 46. Game time temps at 7pm should be around 67 and it will fall quickly into the 50s by the end of the game.
More sunshine in Lafayette for the Band Day contest against Eastern Michigan. Lafayette dipped to 49 Saturday morning, and should be at 72 by the Noon kickoff.
Tailgating tomorrow? Downtown Indy skies should be mostly clear. Morning lows will be around 50, warming to around 60 by 9am, and then the low 70s by Colts game time. Mr. Irsay! Retract—this–roof!
