I could tell you yesterday was Indy’s warmest so far this year. I could tell you Monday’s high was the highest since November 14th of last year, but why bother? Those particular stats will change…stat! Today’s temp should be about the same, or maybe a degree warmer. And add a few more degrees tomorrow.
The biggest difference today is going to be the (lack of) wind. Indy’s peak gust yesterday was 39 mph. West winds today should stay tame-about 5-10 mph. I can verify yesterday’s a big breezes personally. In fact, if you REALLY want to study weather, take up running as I did about five years ago.
Yesterday I confirmed that big breeze (and blamed it for my time.) I also confirmed Monday morning’s .09″ of precipitation, after briefly landing in some minor mud. Finally, I confirmed it was indeed the warmest day in months, after smelling the second cookout along my route.
Indiana saw mainly rain Monday, but large hail and damaging wind struck a few spots in Michigan. Scattered showers and storms return here Thursday, but nothing severe is expected, at least for now. We have some slight storm chances Friday and Saturday, but it’s actually more of a summer-time “pop up in the afternoon and early evening” kind of thing. This unseasonable weather may last through NEXT week!
Know anybody on Spring Break? Nice weather expected on Gulf Coast from Panama City to Gulf Shores. Only small shower chances. Don’t tell them they coulda saved some money and had similar temps here, albeit sans sand scenery.
