A cold front moves through Monday morning, largely un-noticed by the non-weather-geek world, except for the morning clouds it will carry through the state. I guess you might notice a cooler breeze today, and about a five degree difference from yesterday’s high. Winds behind the front will shift to the west, and then the northwest. They might gust up to about 25 mph today in the midday and afternoon.
The next definitely-noticeable storm system brings milder air back tomorrow and shifts the winds again to the south. Showers and storms are likely Tuesday night, and the chance will linger into a warm, windy Wednesday. (This could be the arrival of an alliteration front!) At the moment, severe weather doesn’t look likely, but I’ll keep an eye on February going out like a Lion.
From “@NKOTB_Ellen” on Twitter: “@PaulPoteet Tell me again. Why did I buy a snow blower in November?” Beats me! I had mine serviced. It worked like a charm last Fall for the 60 seconds I had it going. Here’s a fun fact: the season snow-to-last-year-snow ratio is now about 1:4. The current total is holding at 9.1 inches. At this point ins 2011 we’d had 35.9 inches! In other words, divide in half, and divide in half. I don’t think we’ll add to that total this week, but who knows? If Billy Crystal can come back, maybe snow can, too.
