The "Indy Runners" club has two races to help you in your training for longer Spring races, or just to relieve your cabin fever. Or, just because you're crazy.
First up is the "Groundhog 7" on February 12th. That race got sidetracked by the weather last year. This year the race has been moved to the Sunday AFTER the Super Bowl, AND the new Race Director is a dude originally from Wisconsin. Maybe that'll help.
Registration is FREE as always! (they only ask for a canned good donation to Gleaner's Food Bank). End Result provides Chip Timing for the course, starting at Zionsville High School's Freshman Center Cafeteria at 1:00pm. Find the race info page at this link.
Then you can celebrate Spring by kicking off the Half-Marathon season with the Historic Sam Costa Half/Quarter on March 24th – now in it's 43rd year!
This is the 7th year of the Quarter Marathon as another option.
Registration and Volunteer recruitment is open at samcosta.com. Northview Christian Church is the starting/ending point for this race. If you run in Hamilton County, you probably know all about Northview:)
I had a conflict last year the day of the Sam Costa. Gonna try and make it this year. Just for the quarter. I'm a real wuss about running much in the cold. I blame the weatherman.
