This weekend Pet Pals presents a look back at the stories that mattered most in 2011. The ones that got the most Facebook, website, & YouTube comments. Here’s Patty Spitler’s look at the show, 10:30am Saturday on WNDY MyINDY TV 23:
1) The Homeless and their Pets…Oh my, this is a wonderful tale of love. It doesn’t matter if you have a job or material possessions…your pet just loves you, because you are You, and you spend time with him. Not only one of your favorite stories, but mine, too!
2) Stacia, the Paralyzed Pit Bull…yes, she can’t walk without a cart, she needs diapers and to have her bladder expressed several times a day, and she’s a Pit Bull !! But some wonderful folks saw her story on our show, and adopted her..now she is living the high life with a fabulous couple and other doggie playmates.
3) Butler, the 3 Legged Cat…just because a pet is disabled doesn’t mean he can’t be the best companion in the whole world. You’ll see how Butler ( named because the students of Butler University paid for his surgery!) is doing in his terrific new home and enjoying life, and boy is he a camera hog!
4) ICAN, the Indiana Canine Assistance Network, brings oodles of Service Dogs INSIDE the fabulous Milano Inn for a night of wining ( whining?) and dining..and they’ll share information on what a Service Dog is, and where they can go with their owners/handlers. Do you know? Better tune in for an education in canine responsibility!
5) Wolves…Oh my what big teeth you have!! Yes, the Wolf, the Mother of all Dogs, is revisited as co-host/media hound Paul Poteet and singer/pet lover Jennie DeVoe and I explore the nationally recognized Wolf Park in Battle Ground, Indiana. The wolves thought we were interesting..and worthy of an investigation as we bravely got inside their park area. They are so gorgeous, gregarious, great creatures!
AND, your NUMEROUS PICTURES OF YOUR PETS this holiday season are highlighted in our Holiday FB Presentation! I think we got each and every one in the show…find out, if Your Pet’s the Star!
