Today will be partly sunny, hot and humid. A cold front will approach later and bring a chance of late afternoon and evening showers and storms. Some of the storms could reach severe levels. After the front passes we are rain-free again until the middle of the next week, plus it will be a little less hot and humid than today.
BTW, the record high is in no danger today. It’s 99 degrees, from 1970. The average high is 85.
