Here’s a map of what to expect today. It will be partly to mostly cloudy. Some scattered showers and storms are possible. Highest chance will come in the afternoon and tonight. Highs will go back to near average.
Race Day itself will be hot and humid, but the breeze may deceive, making it feel a bit less soupy. Winds will gust as high as 25mph from the south/southwest. The sky should be partly to mostly sunny. Rain shouldn’t be a problem. Forecast highs are in the upper 80’s. It was hot last year also, with a high of 89. The Indy “500” Race Day has hit 90 or above five different times, most recently in 1978.
Finally, the Memorial Day forecast is just plain mostly sunny, hot and humid. Thanks to those who wear the uniform, and to you for following me here. Have a great weekend!
