UPDATED: The U.S. Geological Survey reported a 3.8 magnitude earthquake centered 5 miles southeast of Greentown, Ind., at 7:55:21 a.m. today. It was felt all over much of central and northern Indiana. The Agency had originally reported the quake as 4.2 magnitude.
Quakes Hoosiers may remember
September 1998: A 5.2-magnitude is felt in at least five states, including parts of Northern Indiana.
June 2002: A 5.0-magnitude earthquake strikes near Evansville and is felt as far north as South Bend. Only minor damage is reported.
April 2008: A 5.2 quake, the biggest in 40 years, had its start at West Salem, Ill., about 125 miles southwest of Indianapolis. I was on the air in a TV studio, while it rattled windows and woke people from their beds just after 5:30 a.m.

I can’t believe it’s been almost 3 years since that last one! I liked it better than this one. This one was more violent than the last one. At least for me here in Marion.

It definitely shook us here in Studio B, but you were even closer to it there in Marion.
