Ta-da! The Indianapolis high temperature Wednesday (38 at 3:59pm) went above freezing, and above normal for the first time this year. We’re shooting for 40 Thursday, and that would be the first time at that level since Christmas. More clouds in the afternoon may slow down the thermometer.
The map shows Wednesday afternoon temperatures. The 40 degree line was just sneaking into Evansville, but you can see some milder air in eastern Colorado and New Mexico, and West Texas.
No huge storms threaten, but a clipper moving through after midnight Thursday night and early Friday does bring the prospect of a little freezing drizzle and/or drizzle for Friday morning’s rush hour.
The weekend, however, is a little above average, with dry weather Saturday, and at least a chance of precipitation Sunday.
