Christmas Eve morning surface temps are still running around 35 in Indianapolis and 30 in Muncie. Warmer air will work it’s way all down to all levels from southwest to northeast this morning. The Weather Service has issued a Freezing Rain Advisory for areas north and northeast of Indy until mid afternoon. Think northeast of a line from around Frankfort to Shelbyvile. If you’re in the Indy Metro, the changeover to just rain should be done by lunch.
The monster low I’ve been advertising for a week is still on track to bring us 1-2 inches of rain, and 30-40mph Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Temps will fall Christmas morning as the precip diminishes. Sorry, the only White Christmas component is the chance for afternoon snow showers!
