I try to hang around with smart people as often as possible. It might rub off. Neal Moore is a smart guy who has worked with the Informatics Department at IUPUI, and operates Neal Moore Communications. We met to discuss some biz at Mo’Joes Coffeehouse, and ended up playing around with “Twitcam,” a service that lets you log in w/your Twitter account, and send a tweet announcing your live stream. That tweet has a url folks can click to watch, and to chat with you.
The service also saves a copy of the stream, and I’ll embed that here, although watching it just now was like watching paint dry. And I’m IN the video! But it’s still an interesting application. What if I sometimes was on the stream as well as on the radio in the morning? Or during a commercial break on TV? You get the idea. Watch, if you dare. I’d watch the first minute and the last minute (when we finally figured out the lighting.) P.S.: This is very new tech, and one bug I noticed is that the video embed (as you may have already noticed) wants to auto-start no matter how you try to code it otherwise. Apologies in advance! BTW: coffee was good.
