UPDATE@3pm: Severe thunderstorms look less likely for the rest of the day, but heavy rain is still a possibility. The cold front won’t get through all of central Indiana before midnight tonight. ‘Til then: rain possible…maybe heavy. Cooler, but not Arctic, air will move in early Wednesday.
Four to five inches of rain rolled through parts of northwest Indiana early this morning, causing evacuations and school closings in White and Carroll counties. A couple of storms late this afternoon and early to mid evening could produce large hail and damaging winds across all of central Indiana.
