Starting this blog has been a pain in the oops, you didn’t see that did you? Take two: Starting this blog has been a first step in expanding and organizing my brands across multiple Internet platforms. You don’t have any idea of what that means, do you? I know I don’t.
Anyway, I’ll have more online this year, and it will change more often, thanks to the wonders of dynamic content. I’ve been gently massaging the javascript, php and old, decrepit html tables of the mother-ship. Visit www.paulpoteet.com and enjoy a visual lift. I think. It’s not like I’ve got a redecorating show on Bravo or A&E or anything. But I did fire some of our old creaky tables and unnecessary colors. (It’s the end of the year-everyone has to cut back.) You can now actually see more weather, updated more often from the home page. But these days I get just as much feedback about Off The Cuff . So the header box on the top will take you right the the Cuff page on Indychannel, and to the MySpace page that Tom Davis and I maintain for the kids.
And there’s always radio. As it was in the Beginning…etc etc. My fab five stations are still right there lined on on the far right table (sorry-haven’t made it all the way to Cascading Style Sheets and xhtml yet) (hope you geeks are enjoying this) where they’ve always been. It was a previous WZPL Program Director, Tom Gjerdrum , who conned me into this Internet thing. “Do you have some thing on the web we could link to?” he asked innocently in 1997. The customer is always right, so I went to the library and checked out some books. What a chump! Even before then I was dialing up through Indiana’s Big Internet Daddy, www.iquest.net. Just this past week Chris and everyone from the Hosting Department have smoothly upgraded the guts of my place to accomodate, other things, this blog. All that work for this post? Sorry guys.
BTW: if you’re one of those careful readers of post titles: the SITE got the lift. What were you thinking?

what the hell was all that nerd talk? THANKS FOR MAKING US THIRD… You’ think wed be first in your heart////

I should explain that Chris works for NewsTalk (or is it News Talk with the space in between? I’m not sure) 1430. All I can say is that the logos are ordered by length of Paul/station relationship. That’s all. For my personal thoughts? Only my hairdresser knows for sure.

Bring back the color!
Paul says
Wait a minute Pam-I reference my hairdresser and then you say “bring back the color?” I hope we’re talking about the site again here!

BTW Pamela: I ran your color comments past Mrs. Poteet, and she agreed, so I was forced to take a look. I added the extremely colorful masthead pictures from the blog to the top of the other pages. That’s a big splash. Then I just flipped the areas of white and of light gray. The light gray now gets a bigger stage than white, and that helps too, and I’m still holding at just 4 font and/or table colors. OK — freeze it forever! Check it all out at www.paulpoteet.com.
