As of waking up at 6am (like real people do) there’s been about 5-6 inches that’s fallen here at the Bat Cave in Hamilton County. Judging from the radar–maybe another inch or two before it ends later this morning. Winds not too bad yet. If I were on TV or radio right now I would put on my stern voice and say “don’t drive if you don’t have to.” Indy official total-so far-is 5 inches. My Mom and Dad in Huntington (northeast Indiana) are at 6 inches so far. (I tell you this because they don’t have their own blog.) The snow looks like it will have left the Indy metro area by 11am this morning, moving east and northeast.
Here’s a good list of totals from Weather Service spotters. This shows reports from observers from 7am Saturday to 7am Sunday. Snowfall is the last number on the right. If you’re southwest of the city however, keep in mind that you’d already gotten an inch or two before 7am. Go here for totals from Kev, Blogger-In-Chief at RTV, and here for the Weather Service Blog for a play-by-play from yesterday into earlier this morning. Blah, blah, blog.
UPDATE: It’s 10am. Do you know where your weatherman is? Already re-hunkered down in the chocolate brown Barcolounger after venturing out. I measured what had already been shoveled once yesterday. (BTW: Neighbor Bob is already amp’d about snow blowing the driveway clear this morning for us. He rocks.) We are ending up with what looks like about 6 and a half inches here. Three of those inches fell yesterday, with some freezing rain in between last night. The wind has picked up, right on schedule. East/west roads will get goofed most by the wind. There goes my trip to Columbus Ohio to drop off audition tapes. We did make it to church this morning, but it was a sparse crowd. Don’t you think on such days the people that ARE there should get extra wine during Communion? Just a thought. I said the same ol’ prayer, but I still don’t think Chuck and Randy are going to retire any time soon. I’m just looking for morning seniority, that’s all. Senior-itis, that I already get.

Paul’s Blog is On Your Side. The I-channel says everything should be showing up fine, A-Z. I’m getting them here. Try refreshing/rebooting….doesn’t that fix everything?
