Indiana’s Weather For Tuesday

March 13, 2018

Same as it ever was. Another day in the 30s, with afternoon snow showers. It should be warm enough just above the surface for a few raindrops to mix in, especially Indy southward. There could be a quick dusting on grassy surfaces north of Indy. A dusting…and a gusting…to 25 mph this afternoon. That could mean a brief reduction in visibility if you get the right combo platter of wind and snow flakes.

Today’s surface weather chart shows another nasty Nor’Easter. The circulation between that…and strong high pressure to our west leaves us in a northerly flow today.

The forecast is snow, snow, snow today in Mass, including Boston. More than 20 inches could fall around the Cape.

Look at how much Sunday snow fell in KY!

Yesterday’s high in Indy was 39. My forecast was 41.

The average high today is 51 and the average low is 32. Records are 80 (2007) and 3 (1960). The sun rises at 8:00am and sets at 7:50pm.

Today: Scattered morning flurries. Afternoon snow showers, maybe mixed with rain. Dusting possible on grassy surfaces north of Indy. NW wind gusting to 25 mph. High 38.

Tonight: Becoming partly cloudy. Low 23.
Wednesday: Partly sunny. High 42.
Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy. Low 31.
Thursday: Mostly sunny. High 48.

Thursday Night: Mostly clear. Low 27.
Friday: Partly sunny. High 40.

Friday Night: Shower chances late. Low 33.

Saturday: Mostly cloudy. Scattered showers. High 53.

Saturday Night: Mostly cloudy. Scattered showers. Low 34.

Sunday: Partly sunny. High 55.

Sunday Night: Partly cloudy. Low 37.

Monday: Scattered showers. High 51.
