A dry cold front passed through the state overnight, and so it will be even colder today than yesterday. (Not nearly as appealing as that old song “I love you more today than yesterday.”) Chills start in the 20s and won’t get above freezing until the afternoon.
One week ago today the high was 79 in Muncie, 78 in Lafayette, 77 in Indy, and 76 in Bloomington and the Haute.

There are two rain chances ahead near the weekend. A small one Friday night (and maybe early Saturday morning) and a larger one all day Sunday. Rain amounts through Sunday should range from one-half to one inch for much of central Indiana.
