Indiana’s Weather For Tuesday

May 16, 2017

Welcome to The Dome. Here’s this morning’s Huge Radar, reflecting the upper flow of a huge ridge over the Midwest and East. (Click any chart to enlarge.)

Storms in this situation often fire along the “top” of the ridge and move along it. Huge hail hit Wisconsin late night.

Scattered showers and storms could start sneaking in here Wednesday night. Chances remain through the weekend. The biggest chances will be Friday and again Saturday afternoon through Sunday, as the upper air energy combines with an approaching cold front. First chart depicts Friday, the second is Sunday.

The pattern flattens out, and temps shrink come Monday:

Yesterday’s high was 83 in Indy. My forecast was 84.
