Indiana’s Weather For Friday

April 28, 2017

A Flash Flood Watch is in place for southern Indiana from 8pm Friday through Saturday morning. Several inches of rain may fall.

Severe thunderstorms are also a threat tonight.

It appears the rain may let up for several hours Saturday afternoon after the initial wave. There is a chance of showers and storms again Saturday night. Again: storms Saturday could be severe, especially south and west of Indy.

After that: the showers and storms Sunday may hold up until late afternoon or evening. The big threat will switch from severe storms to heavy rain.

By the end of the weekend rain totals could reach 2-5 inches.

Yesterday’s *daytime* high in Indy was 62. My forecast was 66.

The average high today is 68 and the average low is 47. Records are 86 (1894) and 28 (1976). The sun rises at 6:49am and sets at 8:37pm.
