Indiana’s Weather For Good Friday

April 14, 2017

Two possible precipitation periods today. The first would be early in the morning, mainly to the north of Indy…kinda what we saw yesterday. The second possibility is later afternoon and evening anywhere in the state, swinging in with the some upper air support from the west. Here’s computer-modeled radar for Friday.

I don’t see such support on Saturday, which should limit anything during the day to a random “pop-up” shower or storm. GO EASTER EGG HUNTS. The big weather player for the weekend will still be to the west on Saturday. It gets here for Easter. Biggest rain and storm chances with that will be midnight-noon on Sunday.

Yesterday’s high was 77 in Indy. My forecast was 75.

The average high today is 63 and the average low is 42. Records are 85 (1883) and 24 (1943). The sun rises at 7:09am and sets at 8:23pm.

Today: Partly sunny. Stray shower or storm, mainly in the afternoon. High 79.

Tonight: Partly cloudy. Scattered showers and storms possible. Low 61.

Saturday: Partly sunny. High 81.

Saturday Night: Shower and storm chances, mainly after midnight. Low 62.
Easter Sunday: Showers and storms likely. Chances diminish in the afternoon. High 72.
Sunday Night: Partly cloudy. Low 49.
Monday: Partly sunny. High 69.

Monday Night: Partly cloudy. Low 49.
Tuesday: Partly sunny. High 70.

Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy. Low 59.

Wednesday: Partly sunny, with scattered showers and storms. High 72.

Wednesday Night: Scattered showers and storms. Low 53.

Thursday: Partly sunny. High 68.
