Indiana’s Weather For Friday

March 24, 2017

The biggest chances of rain this weekend will be Saturday afternoon through Sunday morning. The weather in much of the country will be revolving around a big area of low pressure at the surface, moving northeast.

That means severe weather for some, heavier snow for others.

Here’s the center of the storm today.

And here it is by Saturday night.

And by Sunday morning. The low doesn’t move much, but the first push of upper air energy will be departing, and the passage of a cold front will knock a few degrees off Sunday’s high.

Another half-inch to one-inch of rain may fall in Indiana over the next week.

The high in Indy yesterday was 57. My forecast was 54.

The average high today is 55 and the average low is 35. Records are 84 (1910) and 2 (1974). The sun rises at 7:42am and sets at 8:01pm.

Today: Increasing cloudiness and warmer. South wind gusting up to 30 mph. High 70.

Tonight: Shower chances after midnight. Low 57.

Saturday: Chance of a morning shower. Showers and storms likely in the afternoon. High 68.

Saturday Night: Periods of rain. Chances of storms. Low 57.
Sunday: More rain, mainly in the morning. High 62.
Sunday Night: Mostly cloudy. Low 51.
Monday: Mostly cloudy. Shower chances in the afternoon. High 69.

Monday Night: More showers. Low 50.
Tuesday: Mostly cloudy. High 59.

Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy. Low 42.

Wednesday: Partly sunny. High 60.
