The Bolton Valley Ski Area, located in the Green Mountains of northern Vermont east of Burlington, reported a storm total of 58 inches of snow early yesterday morning. Over 30 inches fell in Damascus, Pa., in the northeastern portion of the state. Both Scranton, Pa., and Binghamton, N.Y., picked up over 20 inches. One of the highest wind gusts measured 72 mph in Wellfleet, Mass., on Cape Cod.
