Those “T’s” you see in Kokomo and over to the west in Montgomery County appear to have done the most damage. The National Weather Service was already out yesterday evening to inspect the damage. They assigned preliminary ratings of EF-3 at Kokomo and EF-1 east of Crawfordsville. Damage found near end of the path in Linnsburg in the eastern part of Montgomery County rated EF2. Considering the EF-3 rating, and the tornado hitting right around shift changes and school dismissal…the fact there was no apparent serious injury is pretty amazing. The NWS will do more surveying to come up with the final number of tornadoes that struck. A funnel cloud was also sighted near I 70 and Emerson in Indy, right at the heart of afternoon rush hours. And today? Here is the severe weather risk, via the Storm Prediction Center. The biggest risk is in the afternoon. PAUL’S PREVIOUS PREDICTION Yesterday’s high was 87 in Indy. My forecast was 85.
