The Indy Airport measured .61″ rain between 5 and 7am this morning. That’s on top of .35″ that fell yesterday. We’re now ahead of the year-to-date average (12.76″ versus 11.93″), even taking into account the lack of snow earlier in the year.
WEDNESDAY WATER
.47″ Bloomington
.35″ Indy
.27″ Lafayette
.25″ Terre Haute
.18″ Muncie
More showers and storms could pop this afternoon before diminishing this evening. Short-term modeling (via weatherbell.com) has it popping up around 11am west of Indy and then working its way across the central part of the state through the afternoon (11am, 2pm & 7pm snapshots follow.)
It doesn’t look like a severe weather day for central Indiana.
There were 19 tornado reports around the country yesterday, including a few in Illinois.
Two days ago there was a small tornado in southern Indiana. The NWS has released some photos of the damage. Click here for that.
